Bluff Point State Park
800-Acre Coastal Preserve in Groton, CT
Bluff Point offers a wide variety of trails, from single track paths that weave throughout the woods to the main trail, a wide 3.55-mile loop around the park.
The preserve lies on a peninsula, so runners can take in water views of marshes and Long Island Sound as well as forest scenery. You will most likely encounter an abundance of wildlife such as chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, and birds along the path.
Bluff Point is a nice park for all seasons. In the warmer months, people take advantage of the beach and picnic areas. In the winter, many people enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on the trails.
