8.9-mile Bridebrook Run, Niantic - East Lyme, CT
This long run takes you through quiet residential areas of Niantic and Flanders in the town of East Lyme, CT.
You will encounter a variety of scenery such as farms, orchards, tall trees and lakes. Be on the look out for wildlife along the way, such as deer, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, and wild turkeys.
You will begin this 8.9-mile route at Bridebrook Park in Niantic, CT. Leave the park by taking a right onto West Main Street.
Take the next right onto North Bridebrook Road, a long and relatively straight road that offers a few rolling hills. At the end of the road, you will encounter a short and rather steep hill.
At the top of the hill, take a right onto Boston Post Road and continue down the hill to Dean Road on the right. Follow the heavily-wooded Dean Road past the intersection of Lover's Lane until you come to Willow Lane at the top of a hill.
Taking a left up Willow Lane, you will encounter Dean's Ridge, a quiet residential area with large, stately homes and wide roads. At the end of Willow, take a right onto Jeremy Drive until it meets with Alexander Drive. Follow Alexander to the right back to Dean Road.
Take a left onto Dean Road and continue as it becomes West Society Road. Here, you will cross over I-95. Take caution when passing the exit ramps. Soon after the highway, you are greeted with a long descent.
Riverview Road will be on the right at the stop sign. Follow Riverview Road as it winds up and down rolling hills. At the end, you will take a right onto the residential Roxbury Road, which also features a few short hills.
Taking a right onto West Main Street, you end the route by running down the hill back to Bridebrook Park.
Note: The majority of the route is run on the side of the road. There are only a few sections with sidewalks, so be aware of traffic.

Directions from I-95:
Take Exit 72 off I-95. Follow the turnpike connector south to West Main Street (Route 156). Turn left and take Route 156 east for 1/2 a mile. Bridebrook Park is on the left.
